30th August

Today was our day to take the 4 chair-lifts up to Titlis. The chair-lifts here open at 8.00am and we arrived early to get our tickets only to be told that the Titlis lift doesn't start till 8.30. We decided to just wait anyway and got into the queue. We watched for 5 minutes as they loaded food and supplies that were to go up before they opened the lift to tourists. Then a man came over to us and said 'hop on', so we got to go up before anyone else. We had the whole of Titlis to ourselves.

Not really cold. About zero.

                                                   Bet no-one knew that I was a skier.
